OVERALL RESEARCH QUESTION: What design choices do hotels (or inns) in the Chicagoland area make in order to incentive the most guests?
SUB QUESTIONS
- How can hotels get more rooms filled?
- Should a city or town sell themselves as a, “tourism place?” And how would this affect a hotel’s success?
- What are the different types of hotels Does the size of the hotel play a factor into whether or not a person is going to stay there?
- Why are some hotels more expensive, on average, than others? Does not having certain things in the hotel room deter potential customers?
- What do hotels do in the off season in order to stay in business?
- Can having too many places to stay be just as stressful as not having enough places to stay for the consumer?
- Is being the lowest priced hotel in an area a good thing or a bad thing from a consumer’s perspective?
- What design choices did some hotels attempt that ended in failure?
- What design choices did some hotels attempt that ended in success?
- What are some of the things that Hotel Designers have in mind when they are planning the layout of a hotel?

This is a very interesting topic that will give a lot of insider towards people who will look into those 5 star hotels and to decide whether or not to stay in one or not. I suggest that the sub questions b/c of how many there are, they are being grouped to specific posts to answer them all.
