The economic principle I’m exploring is:
“People generally respond to incentives in predictable ways. Institutions are the “rules of the game” that influence choices.”
My research question to help me study the economic principle is:
“How has the government limited/promoted businesses to sell e-/cigarettes?”
The article in Tampa Bay Times (St. Petersburg, FL), February 21, 2014, titled "LAWMAKERS MOBILIZE TO KEEP E-CIGARETTES AWAY FROM TEENS" demonstrates this economic principle because it shows First, that Florida lawmakers are trying to ban the sale of e-cigarettes for minors. Second, how other schools are taking steps to ban the use/possession of e-cigarettes. Third, how health officials are trying to prove that e-cigarettes are bad for anyone's health.
In my next blog post, I will research: Why e/cigarettes were made.
