Live Translation with Smartphones?

The economic principle I’m exploring is “People generally respond to incentives in predictable ways”

My research question to help me study the economic principle is “How do companies use incentives to persuade consumers to buy their phone products?”

The article/video/etc published in [name of publication] titled “Samsung unveils S9 amid smartphone market 'plateau'” demonstrates this economic principle because it shows...

First, Smartphone makers at the end of 2018 were struggling to get sales, which caused the smartphone market to stay flat all of last year. This includes the major companies like Apple and Samsung.

Second, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S9 smartphone which is to go on sale in 2018, and they are planning for their customers to ditch their old phones for the new one as it has better features, processing power, etc.

Third, Samsung´s main focus on the Galaxy S9 is that users are now able to translate things in the real world with itś new Bixby AI, which is similar to Siri and Google Assistant.

In my next blog post I will research:

I will research how other companies respond to the smartphone shrinkage in Q4 of 2017.

  1. Good article despite the formatting being messed up. Why were smartphone makers struggling to make saels at the end of 2017?
