Medicine on a Budget? Never Heard of It!

The economic principle I will be focusing on is "because of scarcity, people choose. All choices have an opportunity cost. The article I am using to research the effects of scarcity of money on healthcare is written by Connected Care by Cone Health. This website helps me explore the topic of how people choose healthcare options as technology in medicine increases tremendously. People have options to save money tremendously when it comes to healthcare--the Internet.

The article entitled "Online Doctor Visits: The Smart Way to Save Time and Money" lives up to its description. Virtual healthcare is now the perfect way to treat minor diseases effectively and cheaply. Think about it, would you really want to spend time and gas and a pile of money on driving all the way to your doctor's office, waiting to be seen, and finally getting a medication when you could have done all of this from your bed? Probably not. With online healthcare visits starting from $30, think about how much time and money you could be saving. Not to mention, there is no waiting room time because e-Visits are offered seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for patients 18 and over, ad video and phone visits are offered 24/7 for both adults and children.

The next topic I will be researching is "how have patients with online medicine experiences been changed by this new technology?"
